Benoît Reboul-Salze

ATD Fourth World

Permanent volunteer with the ATD Fourth World Movement.

His involvement with the World Day to Overcome Extreme Poverty began on October 17, 1987, at the Trocadéro. His conviction that extreme poverty is a violation of human rights has led him to constantly strive to bring people from all walks of life together to ensure that these rights are respected—with a priority on those living in extreme poverty—whether in local or international leadership roles.

From 2008 to 2014, along with the team from the Forum Against Poverty, he served as coordinator of the International Committee of October 17. Since 2015, together with his wife Véronique, he has been exploring initiatives to combat poverty in Central and Eastern European countries, starting in Sofia, Bulgaria, and meeting with committed individuals and groups. Understanding the strategies used to fight poverty also involves “working together,” which brings them into daily contact with people living in extreme poverty.
In November 2022, he joined the National Delegation of the ATD Fourth World Movement in France.
