Senior civil servant and renowned politician.
A lawyer by training, she was a senior official in the Ministry of Planning, External Cooperation and Public Service and Chief of Protocol in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Government of Haiti in exile in Washington DC.
In 1996, she became a member of the Cabinet of the Minister of Justice and Public Security and head of the Coordination Office for the Raboteau Massacre lawsuit. At the same time, she also Headed the Preparatory Commission for the Reform of Law, Justice and the Penal System. In 2000, she joined the Citizens’ Protection Cabinet and was subsequently nominated as Citizens’ Defender for a seven-year term until 2017. She was an advisor in the united Nations for the Ombudsman of Timor-Leste in 2003-2004.
She is actively involved in the field of defence, particularly in the protection of the citizens of Haiti.
