Ms Carolina Escobar Sarti is a member of the National Committee for October 17 in Guatemala and has been supporting families and members of ATD Fourth World in her country for many years
Ms. Escobar Sarti, born in Guatemala, is currently the national director of “La Alianza Guatemala”, an association working with girls and adolescents in danger, victims of sexual violence and human trafficking. She has published several collections of poetry, short stories, social science research and hundreds of articles in the press, where she regularly writes on human rights issues.
“La Alianza Guatemala provides care for young girls who are victims of sexual exploitation and human trafficking. It works to denounce human trafficking and in 2009 launched the Prevention and Awareness Programme against It provides legal support to young girls who are victims of human trafficking and other rights violations
