Calgary - Tuesday 17 October 2017 - Calgary, Tuesday October 17, "HOPE" a spoken word performance to mark the United Nations' International Day to Eradicate Poverty.

'Poverty Talks! and its partners, Vibrant Communities Calgary, the Alex Community Food Centre, Knox Presbyterian Church, and The Genesis Centre proudly present "HOPE" a spoken word performance to mark the United Nations' International Day to Eradicate Poverty.

This year, our event will be hosted at the Genesis Centre, from 5:00pm to 7:00pm, and will feature spoken word, poetry, and public speaking performances from Calgarians who intimately understand the impacts of poverty and have an important story to share about despair and of course, about hope.

Members of the spoken word project team have been crafting their performances with the expert guidance of Slam Poet champion Erin Dingle. You won't want to miss this incredible evening as we come together on International Day to Eradicate Poverty.

Calgary Transit Fare provided for those who need. The Genesis Centre is located at 75555 Falconridge Blvd NE Calgary, AB.
