Payatas - Monday 17 October 2016 - Voices of Payatas

Event report

Last October 17, Fairplay For All Foundation commemorated the International Day for Eradication of Poverty by going around Payatas, one of the poorest slums in the Philippines, and asking people what poverty means to them. We also asked them how they think poverty can be eradicated in the country. We then collated their thoughts and ideas in a video (see attachment) entitled What Is Poverty? (Voices of Payatas).

The point of the video is to give voices to people living in poverty because often times they are the ones who understand their situation the best. They have opinions, ideas, ambitions, and dreams; they just need the world to listen to them.

To learn more about Fairplay and what we are doing to eradicate poverty in the Philippines, visit our website or email us at ffafoundation [at] gmail [dot] com
