Saturday 17 October at 11am at the "Human Rights and Poverty Stone" (close to the Famine Statues on Custom House Quay, Dublin 1).

Naila - Saturday 17 October 2015 - For a Future in Justice and Dignity!

„UNO-Welttag zur Überwindung von Armut und Ausgrenzung“ in Naila – Für eine Zukunft in Gerechtigkeit und Würde

Vielleicht hätte sich Dietrich Bonhoeffer gefreut über all die verschiedenen Menschen im Widerstand gegen Armut und Ausgrenzung. Das gesamte Bonhoefferhaus wurde am 17. 10. zu einem „begehbaren UNO-Welttag“. Ulla Findeiß von der Kirchengemeinde und Hilde Herbolzheimer mit ihrem Team der Mehrgenerationen-Projektschmiede sorgten für die Bewirtung. Bürgermeister Frank Stumpf aus Naila nahm sich Zeit für ein Grußwort und für die Begegnung mit den Teilnehmenden. Die gut besuchten Workshops von Inge Einsiedel-Müller (Singen), Katrin Hermann (Kunst) und Klaus Mallwitz (Schauspiel) eröffneten kreative Wege, sich dem Thema zu nähern....

Hilfe für Afrika e.V.“ joined Together! Ethiopian Residents Charity with the „Lunch in the Dark“ on the occasion of International Day for the Eradication of Poverty. 

The event focused on the special abilities of persons with visual impairment and open up unique means of social, professional and economic participation. 

Guiding and serving people with sight through joint and joyful encounters in complete darkness reverses the accustomed situation of people with visual impairment and people with sight. 

Changing roles, raises awareness on the hardships which people with visual impairment face in our society. Concurrently, it proves their countless capabilities as well as special skills and promotes the social inclusion of persons with visual impairment through their share and 
participation in cultural events. On the event Together!'s right holders and some participants have told their stories and their role in fighting extreme poverty.

Marta Nigussei: "People shall not pity the blind because of thinking that they cannot do anything! They can do everything! It is only one sense missing and they can cope with this and use all the other senses and are able to do anything! Do not say that blind people are not able to do anything!"

Together! Ethiopian Residents Charity hereby invites you to Dining in the Dark in the occasion of International Day for the Eradication of Poverty.

To commemorate this day Together! an NGO aiming at the educational, professional and social inclusion of persons affected by visual impairment has organized Dining in the Dark. The event focus on the special abilities of persons with visual impairment and open up unique means of social, professional and economic participation.
