Discover how these people, with others from all walks of life, are working towards greater social cohesion, and effective social change for an inclusive society. This is the ailm of the webdocumentary unheard-voices.org
Alvenia Hutton has been an active member of the Fourth World Movement in New York since she was a child taking part in the Street Library in East New York. Alvenia goes back to the difficulties of that time and how she overcame them by joining with others to create positive spaces for reading, art and culture. She also talks of her faith being a major factor guiding her life. Alvenia charts her course in the Fourth World Movement, becoming an advocate for and with young people in her community. Finally she plays a key role in the commemoration of the International Day for the Eradication of Poverty at the United Nations 2010, on the theme of youth and access to decent work.
